This is a request from the parents of a 3 years old child named Afeefa
from Karachi, Pakistan.
The child is suffering from Thalassemia Major (she is not able to make her
own blood) and needs blood transfusion after every 10 or 12 days
There are enough facilities available for the treatment of Thalassemia ,
but the problem is her blood group.
Its "Bombay Oh positive", which is a very rare kind of blood group occurs
in 1 out of millions.
At present we have only one donor available, who has been donating 300 ml
every month, but even this much is insufficient to fulfill her needs.
So there is an urgent need for the donors having "Bombay Oh positive".
If you know any such person or any organization that provides this blood
group. please let us know or at least forward this email to all your
contacts.
