Dear brothers_Assalam-Alay-Kum............Following the DUA session in Stanley Mosque, its time for the you to come to "our" home town village Fanling to participate in DUA for KHATAM QURAN. This mosque and the place Fanling is unique to all of us and have special meaning in our lives. For those who wish to join the TRAVEE, it will start at around 8 :30 PM while the DUA for khatam quran will start at 9: 45 PM. INSHALLAH. You can either join TRAVEE or DUA as you wish. MUFTI ARSHAD will be doing the dua for us so please try your best to come. (special dua for CHA CHA MANZOOR as Rahil 2 has mentioned). PLEASE NOTE THAT FOOD HAS BEEN ARRANGED & WILL BE SERVED AFTER THE DUA (after (9 45 PM). Parking has been arranged at the entrance of the Driving School (20 spaces). Thank you for inviting us to Stanley Mosque for Khatame Taravih.This was my first visit to Stanley Mosque,I really like and enjoyed praying there.The feeling was so good  I cannot put in words.I met ofcourse Nisar who organised this beautiful event but I also met WAQAR and Tahir we were talking about the old Fanling days.I agree with Nisar if you want to preserve this mosque you have to make frequent visit to this mosque and pray in there ,I will also request to Fanling brothers that they must go to Stanley mosque more often to pray or to attend such events and may Allah will give you rewards for this,We need your support and staying together is unity and unity is power;May Allah give all of us a strength to go this Stanley mosque more often,Ameen.Thank you!

Thanks to Nisar for giving us a chance to visit this wonderful Mosque and this is our honour to attend the Taravih Khatem there. Nisar bhai has given a brief introducton of it and the need to maintain it as long as we can. We should all put our efforts as much as we can to presere this Mosque as our place for prayer and a historical monument in Hong Kong. The Mosque is becoming more and more beautiful every year.

Many thanks to those members of Fanlink who atended the Taravih khatam at Stanley Mosque last night.  It was well attended.  It was my great privilege and honour to be the host of particularly those with whom I had spent my childhood years in Fanling.  To keep  updated those members who couldn't attend,  photos were taken and would be posted at Fanlink .  With photos of this Mosque before your eyes, you will  be wondering about its history and a bit worried as well about its preservation.  The Mosque was  built in 1936 by the Hong Kong Governmnet for the Muslim staff who were working in the Prisons Departmnet.    With the passage of time and the natural wastage of Muslim staff through retirement.,  the Mosque had faced threats of demolition on repeated occasions.   With your prayers I am struggling here with this great mission of getting this Mosque fully utilised so as not to face such threat of its demolition again.  I am in close contact with the leaders of the Muslim Community in HK and We are working towards the goal of getting it the status of historic building by the Antiquties and Monument Office.  With this is mind,such funtions like khatam Taravih  are organised to show our strength to those who have an eye on getting it demolished which we would never accept till our last breadth.  In future your support will be nedded o support such funtions by your  attendance.    Brothers, remeber with unity and great faith in Allah(swt) no one can shake us.         Many thanks again for your support.
